UW SCHOOL OF ART OPEN HOUSE: Friday April 25, 2008 / 2-7pm

The students, faculty, and staff in the School of Art invite you to join us during UW's annual Washington Weekend to celebrate our abiding passion for art, art history and design. Explore our teaching, research & practice as we present and reflect upon different styles and techniques in the visual arts.

The quad is the epicenter for the Arts at the UW as departments, student groups, and museums come together to showcase this creative and robust community of performers, artists, writers, scholars and designers.

Explore the arts vignettes

  • More than a dozen tents will provide venues for arts “vignettes” - conceived and designed by students - to reveal the essence of their major.

Get behind the camera on a live film set (DXARTS)

  • Guerilla-style film making!

Participate in the Patrick Swayze Challenge on the wheel

  • A perennial favorite from the Ceramics program
