What: Stone Dance Collective presents "Chop Shop: Bodies of Work", the Eastside's First Contemporary Dance Festival!

This is the first time that such a unique gathering of local contemporary dance innovators have jointly performed for Eastside audiences. This is a rare opportunity to explore the truly original talents of Seattle based artists in one performance. Each of these gifted choreographers has achieved numerous critical successes throughout Europe and the United States. Though each company presented possesses their own individual voice, they are all unified in the contemporary language of dance and its power to stir the senses through the visceral moving image. The featured companies are: Stone Dance Collective, Seattle Dance Project, Phffft! Dance Theatre, DASS Dance, Mark Haim, & Jason Ohlberg.

Scott Ezell and Stimulate Dance, this Saturday March 8th

Experience a series of contemporary dance and performance pieces created exclusively for living rooms that consider intersections and nuances of sexuality, gender, commerce, and culture. Performed and created by a company of professional dancers and choreographers with live music by Scott Ezell!

Stimulate is a group of professional dancers and choreographers who have designed a show that is performed in private living rooms as a way of exploring performer-audience dynamics. Scott Ezell plays experimental acoustic guitar in the show, a combination of improvisation and original compositions. Get to know your artist-entertainers! After the performance, join us while audience and performers relax, dance, and enjoy the rest of the evening together!
