Anne-Marie Cosgrove: the grammar of painting @ Propeller Centre for the Visual Arts

Opening Reception: NOVEMBER 26 6-9 PM
November 25 to December 6
Propeller Centre for the Visual Arts 984 Queen West, Toronto, Ontario Canada M6J 1H1

“Words are integral to what I do. I come to my visual perceptions through language; the subject of my work loosely framed within an ongoing dialogue between the articulation of surface and the politics of existence in which I find myself. These are experiments in painting; manifestations of grapplings between the conscious (ego and desire) and the unconscious or the meditative (serendipity and chance). The moment reassessed through the language of painting; the element of the poetic and the lyrical reaffirmed by the gesture and the line.”

-Anne-Marie Cosgrove
