Call for submissions

Call to Artists: National Eating Disorders Association Silent Auction Art Show Call for Submissions.

The National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) is dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by eating disorders, and serves as a catalyst for prevention, cures and access to quality care. The annual National Eating Disorders Awareness (NEDAwareness) Week, taking place February 22-28, 2009, is the largest eating disorders outreach effort in the nation and we would like to invite you to be a part of it! The aim of NEDAwareness Week is to ultimately prevent eating disorders and negative body image issues while reducing the stigma surrounding eating disorders and improving access to treatment. For the NEDAwareness Week 2009 Seattle event, NEDA is holding a Silent Auction Art Show on February 26, 2009 at See Sound Lounge. The art show will feature art which engages the theme “…until eating disorders are history”. NEDA is currently accepting submissions for art pieces to be donated to the NEDA Silent Auction Art Show and encourages you to get involved with this critical issue! Proceeds will enable NEDA to continue providing life-saving information and will support NEDA’s critical programs reaching millions.

In the spirit of raising awareness about the seriousness of eating disorders, being an agent for change, as well as celebrating the beautiful diversity of body shape and size, NEDA is calling for submissions of drawings, paintings, sculptures, and other original works.
