The Phinney Center Gallery, located in the historic Phinney Neighborhood Center, is currently accepting submissions by visual artists for shows beginning in September of 2008 and throughout the 2009 calendar year. Work in all mediums by individual artists is currently being considered. Work in all mediums by artists who wish to show collaboratively will also be considered.
Submissions for visual artists (individual or group shows) are currently being accepted for consideration. Shows in the gallery will take place September of 2008 through the 2009 calendar year.
Submission deadline is June 15th, 2008 (not a postmark deadline)
Consideration of submitted works by the PNA Arts Committee: mid June-mid July, 2008
Artist notification: mid July-early August 2008
Application Process:
All applications should be submitted by mail or in person to the address listed below. Email submissions will not be considered, nor will incomplete applications. Application materials will not be returned unless you include a SASE with adequate postage with your application. The Phinney Center Gallery is not responsible for lost or damaged application materials including slides or CDs of artwork.
Priority consideration for gallery shows will go to artists working in the Puget Sound area who are not currently affiliated with a commercial gallery.

Individual Artists
Please submit the following for consideration:
- Resume: Include education and arts training, exhibition history, awards recieved (if applicable), and current contact information (mail, email, phone)
- Artist's statement: describe the concepts or intent of the work you are submitting. Please limit your description to one page.
- Work samples: please submit work samples in one of the following formats- CD or slides.
CD work samples: no more than 10 examples of your work. Please use a jpg format. Title each image to match the title information on your list of works.
Slide work samples : no more than 10 examples of your work. All slides must be labeled with the artist’s name, title of work, and medium. Use an arrow to indicate the top of the slide.
- List of works: Provide a separate list of the work you are submitting. Include your name, title, medium, and dimensions.
Group/Collaborative Artists
Each artist applying to show as a group must submit the following for consideration:
- Resume: Include education and arts training, exhibition history, awards recieved (if applicable), and current contact information (mail, email, phone)
- Artist's statement: describe the concepts or intent of the work you are submitting. Demonstrate how you collaborate as artists or the purpose of showing as a group. Please limit your description to one page.
- Work samples: please submit work samples in one of the following formats- CD or slides. If you are appliying as artists who create imagery collaboratively, your work samples may be combined. Artists who work separately, but who wish to show as a group must provide samples of each artist who proposes to be a part of the group show.
