The Museum of Northwest Art has launched a search for a new full-time curator

The Museum of Northwest Art has launched a search for a new full-time curator, responsible for all exhibits from the outside, traveling shows, and museum publications. Attached is a job announcement. We would appreciate your assistance in spreading the word on this open position. The deadline for cover letters and resumes is April 30, 2008.


Lisa Young
, formerly exhibitions coordinator, has been promoted to the position of Curator of the Permanent Collection and Registrar. Lisa has worked for the Museum of Northwest Art for the past seven years in a variety of capacities, and has curated the last four exhibits from the permanent collection.


The Paul Horiuchi retrospective, with guest curator
Barbara Johns, opened to a crowd of 400 people. The exhibit runs through June 15th. The opening was in conjunction with the release of Barbara Johns' new book, Paul Horiuchi: East and West, designed by Phil Kovacevich. The book is published by the UW Press in partnership with the Museum of Northwest Art
