Inside the MusicClassical: Call-for-artists

Inside the MusicClassical is a non-profit organization whose mission is to present classical music concerts in visual terms.

Theme
Currently, we are seeking artists whose work explores the culture of Spain in terms of language, region, song, and color. Works will be exhibited as part of a classical music concert that specifically explores Spanish composers.

Eligibility: open to artists age 18 and older

Media and Specifications: works may be in any 2-D, or 3-D medium. Sculptures must be limited to weighing less than 50 pounds. Unfortunately we cannot consider film, computer-based film, animations, or other technological works at this time. All works must be delivered display-ready, suitably framed, with clear instructions for any pieces that have multiple units. All work must have been done within the last 3 years.

Procedure for submissions: A maximum of 5 images per artist will be considered. A detail view is considered as one of the 5 slides. Images must be submitted by CD in .jpg form. Please label CD carefully with Artist name, address, phone number, e-mail address and work titles. On a corresponding sheet, please include the same personal information plus a precise, numbered listing of CD images along with medium, size and price of each piece. An artist statement is optional. Entry Fee $20.00 for up to 5 works. Please make checks payable to Inside the MusicClassical.

Delivery and return of accepted work: Accepted works are to be delivered in a single, reusable crate, carton, or other appropriate protective covering. Include with EACH work, two 3 X 5 cards listing Name, Address, Phone#, e-mail, Title, Medium, Dimensions, and value. Attach appropriate card to the back/bottom of each piece. Delivery expenses are the responsibility of the artist. Delivery address will be given to notified artists.

Sales-All profits for works sold will go to the artist minus 10% commission. All prices including framing should be set by artist at time of entry.

Liability: All care will be taken to insure that each work is respected and protected. However, insurance for each piece is the responsibility of the artist and no liability is owed by Inside the MusicClassical or any of it's members for damage incurred from shipping, mishandling, transport or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
